Phenoxyethanol mainly damages the cell membrane structure of microorganisms, interfering with their normal material transport and energy metabolism, thereby effectively inhibiting and killing bacteria. Ethylhexylglycerin is not a powerful independent preservative, but it can significantly enhance the permeability of preservatives such as phenoxyethanol, destroy the biofilm of microorganisms, make them more sensitive to preservatives, achieve a "1+1>2" synergistic effect, and has excellent moisturizing performance. It can also reduce the viscosity of the formula, improve the spreadability of the product and the refreshing skin feel.
