Sorbitan Stearate
Appearance: Yellow to white waxy solid
Application: Skin care and makeup, personal care and hair care, household and industrial products.
Purity:100%
Span is a series of compounds of hydrated sorbitol fatty acid esters and belongs to lipophilic nonionic surfactants. This substance is a yellow oily liquid or a slightly yellow waxy solid at room temperature. It is insoluble in water but readily soluble in organic solvents and is mainly used as a W/O type emulsifier. Its functions cover emulsification, dispersion, lubrication and rust prevention, etc., and it is widely used in cosmetic emulsification. Different types of spandex have different HLB values due to differences in fatty acid substituents and are often compounded with the Tween series to optimize emulsification effects.
