Glyceryl Stearate (And) PEG-100 Stearate
Appearance: White particles
Application: Skin care products: as an emulsifier and emollient, used in face cream, lotion, sunscreen, etc.
Hair care products: Used in conditioner, hair mask, etc., to improve hair texture.
Cosmetics: Used in liquid foundation, lipstick, etc., to improve the stability and use of products.
PH(1% Aqueous Solution): 7.3
Polyglyceryl esters are generally solid, semi-solid, or thick oily liquids. They exhibit superior heat resistance, viscosity, and hydrolysis stability compared to polyol fatty acid esters, along with strong emulsifying properties. They can be used to formulate water-in-oil (W/O) emulsions (typically with an HLB ≤ 6), oil-in-water (O/W) emulsions (typically with an HLB ≥ 7), as well as W/O/W or O/W/O emulsifiers, demonstrating unique stability. Polyglyceryl esters have excellent thermal stability and viscosity-reducing properties. With a wide range of HLB values, they can reduce the surface tension of water, form micelles, and possess multiple functionalities such as detergency, emulsification, dispersion, washing, wetting, penetration, diffusion, foaming, antioxidation, viscosity regulation, sterilization, anti-aging, antistatic properties, and prevention of crystallization. They are safe, non-toxic, and harmless to the human body. Their self-emulsifying properties are excellent, allowing them to be used either alone or in combination with other emulsifiers.
